I’ve been creating content that informs, educates, and inspires people for more than 35 years. Before launching Northbranch Media in 2013, I was the vice president for communications at Vermont Information Technology Leaders, Inc. (VITL). My work included producing videos and webinars, writing newsletters and reports, and creating marketing materials. Prior to VITL, I was the communications director at the Vermont Medical Society.
The first 25 years of my career were in journalism, working for several media outlets in both Vermont and the Washington, D.C. area. At WCAX-TV, I produced and reported a five-part series on the politics surrounding the cleanup of acid rain which received the Alfred I. DuPont-Columbia University Silver Baton award — the highest honor in broadcast journalism. Other journalism positions have included: news editor at Vermont Business Magazine; statehouse reporter for the Vermont Press Bureau; and managing editor for health care newsletters at Aspen Publishers, Inc., in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont, and earned a master’s degree in business management (marketing specialty track) from the University of Maryland University College.
